Laying the Foundation

Chiropractic care is similar to building a house – certain things have to happen in a particular order for everything to stand strongly and work properly.

When building a house, if you tried to put up your walls before you had a solid foundation, what would happen? You guessed it! Your walls would be too weak and eventually they would collapse. If you tried to put on your roof before the walls were ready, you would run into the same problem. The same is true for the body. Our bodies must go through a particular plan of care in order to be maintained or repaired correctly and fully.

Two General Phases of Chiropractic Care

Our team will use a combination of Chiropractic Adjustments, Exercises, Stretches, and Soft Tissue treatments to fix your problem. Every patient does not receive the same treatment.

Phase 1: Relief Care

If you are in pain when you come into our office, the first objective is to help you feel better. Depending on the severity of your problem, it is typical to need care 2-3 visits per week for 2 – 8 weeks. This time depends on the severity of your injuries and how quickly your body is able to heal, as each of our bodies heal at a different rate.

Phase 2: Wellness Care

Once your body has fully healed, it is important to keep it that way! This is done by coming in for periodic adjustments or massages in order to avoid problems in the future. Typically, maintenance only requires a quick visit to the chiropractor and/or massage therapist once every month or two, depending on your lifestyle, activity levels, and health goals. This decision is always yours to make; there will never be any pressure to visit our clinic more often than you are comfortable with.
